Privacy, Analytics and Quiz Results
Most learning activities stay on your device. The Thinking Check works without sharing a quiz result, and privacy-first site analytics separately help us understand page use and performance.
Default
Your result stays in your browser unless you actively choose to share it.

Your choice
You Can Use the Full Quiz Without Sharing
Completing the questions, seeing the explanations and receiving your score do not require a submission. Nothing is sent to the quiz database unless you finish the quiz, choose to share and confirm that choice.
If you are under 18, do not use the optional sharing form. You can still complete the full quiz without sharing a result.

The Young Thinkers Lab, Claim Check Lab and Project Triage Do Not Submit Results
The Young Thinkers Lab, Claim Check Lab and Project Triage run in the page only. They do not send gameplay choices or Signal Launch target selections to Think Smarter AI, create a participant profile from those actions or use browser or server storage for the activity state. Reloading or closing the page clears that state.
The Young Thinkers Lab asks for no name, age, school, job, account or free-text response. Its fictional mission choices, aim controls and launches are not part of the optional Thinking Check sharing system. Separate sitewide Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page traffic but does not receive which mission choice or evidence ring a visitor selects.
The project guide can copy a reusable brief to your device's clipboard when you press its copy button. Think Smarter AI does not transmit or store that copied text.
Adult account pilot
Private Result History Is a Separate Choice
The account feature is being tested in isolated staging and is not live on thinksmarterai.org yet. If released, adults could continue with Google and choose to save a completed Thinking Check summary to a private history. Anonymous quiz use would remain available, and Young Thinkers would remain accountless.
Google would process the sign-in. Think Smarter AI would request only the OpenID identity scope, then use the returned Google account identifier to create a one-way keyed reference. Think Smarter AI would not request or store your Google email, name, contacts or profile picture. Read Google's privacy policy before choosing that provider.
The separate account database would store an internal account ID, the one-way provider reference, adult self-confirmation time, accepted account-notice version, account creation and last-sign-in times, secure session-token hashes and expiry times. A saved result would contain only its date and time, pathway, quiz version, score and percentage. Your ten choices would be transmitted to the account endpoint so the server could calculate the score, then discarded rather than retained in the account-history row. The row would not contain the review text, research receipt, optional name, age band, job or intended use.
Secure, essential cookies would keep the adult signed in for up to 30 days and protect account changes from cross-site requests. They would not be advertising cookies. Private history would not be joined to the optional research database or sent to Cloudflare Web Analytics.
A signed-in adult could export a CSV, delete one result, sign out or delete the account and its history. The private history would be limited to 500 summaries, with no more than 20 new saves in 24 hours. The proposed retention boundary is deletion by the user or automatic removal after 24 months without a successful sign-in, whichever comes first. The scheduled removal must be configured and verified before production release. Deleting the Think Smarter AI account would not delete or change the Google account.
This is self-attested adult access, not formal age verification. Accounts for people under 18, guardian accounts, public profiles, leaderboards and marketing use are outside this pilot.

What the Quiz Database Stores
- The Beginner, Everyday or Advanced pathway you selected
- Your ten answer choices
- Your score, calculated by the server from those choices
- The quiz version and consent-notice version
- The UTC submission date, without a stored time
- An optional name or alias
- An optional job or role
- Optional broad profile selections, including role category, adult age band and intended use
- A receipt code for the submission
The form asks for a broad adult age band, not an exact age or date of birth. Please do not enter an employer, school, contact details or sensitive personal information in the optional fields.
Data minimisation
What the Quiz Database Does Not Store
The optional research form does not ask for your email address, employer or school. The saved research row does not add your request IP address, browser user agent, location or a reusable tracking identifier. It does not provide a public endpoint for reading submitted rows.
Because the optional job or role field accepts short text, do not enter an employer, school, contact detail or other information you do not want stored with the result.
Purpose
Why Results May Be Analysed
Shared results may be used to understand broad answer patterns, improve quiz questions and explanations, and build factual aggregate evidence about how the resource is used. An individual's row will not be presented as a public case study without separate permission.
If a visitor chooses to share them, a broad adult age band and broad job or role can help compare how the questions and explanations work for different adult groups. Both fields remain optional.
Quiz data is not sold and is not used for advertising.
Hosting
Cloudflare Processes the Technical Request
The optional research database and proposed separate account database use Cloudflare D1 infrastructure. No particular storage country is promised here. Cloudflare necessarily processes technical request data to deliver and protect the website, even though the saved research and account-history rows do not include the IP address, user agent or location fields listed above.
You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy for information about its services.
Site analytics
Privacy-First Traffic and Performance Measurement
Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled across this site to measure page use and website performance. Cloudflare states that its beacon collects a minimum set of timing and navigation information, does not use cookies or local storage for usage metrics and does not track individuals across different sites.
This sitewide measurement is separate from optional Thinking Check sharing. It does not receive the answers or optional profile details entered in the quiz form. Read Cloudflare's data collection explanation for current technical information.
Retention and deletion
Raw Quiz Rows Are Intended to Be Short-Lived
Raw submissions are intended to be retained for no more than 90 days and may be deleted sooner. Expired-row cleanup runs when an accepted submission is processed, with periodic manual review as an additional check.
After sharing, keep the receipt code shown on screen. To request early deletion, email Think Smarter AI and include that receipt code. The receipt is used to locate the row without requiring an email address in the quiz database.
Questions
Ask Before You Share
If anything in this notice is unclear, do not submit the form. The quiz will still work. You can contact thinksmarterwithai@gmail.com with a privacy question.
